Genesis 3:20–24 (NIV) CONTEXT: After the fall into sin, God curses everyone involved: the serpent, the woman It begins with the name the woman was given: "Eve... mother of all the living." (Genesis 4:1, ESV).

Everything the woman could see corroborated what the serpent had said.
